Great beer and delicious food go together like the world’s best beverages and the tastiest versions of the sustenance needed to keep us alive. So how could anyone go wrong with dinner plans at Vancouver’s Alibi Room? You would be forgiven if your first thoughts were of’ hipsters’ with rolled up pants and bushy award-winning facial hair. However, there’s so much more to this eclectic Vancouver gem than these simple over-done Vancouver stereotypes. Sure, you’ll find flannel and some of the best groomed mustaches in the city but what about the food? A regular Fresh Sheet, locally sourced meats, and Vancouver Aquarium Certified Ocean-wise seafood selections are some of the features of their small but full menu. Whether looking for salads, small share plates, sandwiches, or full-on fill-you-up dinner, the Alibi Room has you covered.

Then there’s beer! It’s not the lagers you grew up on. It’s the best of craft beer. Featuring an extensive tap list with a focus on local beers as well as options from all over North America, there’s a beer here for everyone. Not sure which one to get? The Alibi Room have small taster paddles where you can sample multiple beers before deciding to order them all or a couple (some of us locals have work in the morning). Their tap list is always changing so you can keep coming back to try new beers. Trying new beers makes you hoppy!
The Alibi Room boasts a dynamic and social atmosphere. Want to watch the Canucks drop another game on the road on their way to their next lottery draft selection? Sorry, can’t do that here. With no TVs and a series of long social tables, the Alibi Room promotes mingling and chatting (how so very un-Vancouver-ish).
For great food and all the styles of great craft beer you can imagine, you can’t beat The Alibi Room. Vancouverites and tourists alike are flocking to this local watering hole to escape the televisions, sample craft beer, and enjoy local food in a social friendly atmosphere. Cheers!
